Chinese liquid ammonia fell 12.97% to CNY 2,616.67 a tonne in the week to 16 October, the steepest drop on the fertilizer board, as restarted units lifted supply while phosphate and compound-fertilizer run rates stayed near seasonal lows.
Chinese methanol collapsed back to CNY 3,883 a tonne, a 13.6% weekly drop, after coastal MTO plants shut and traders dumped cargo into a market that had rallied 17% in a month.
Weekly US fertilizer surveys show urea down 7.7% to $730 a short ton while DAP jumped 24.2% to $961.83 and anhydrous ammonia rose 11.1%, leaving growers with a record $13.8bn farm safety-net payment to spread across very different input curves.
